The Hockey Centre BV (hereinafter referred to as: The Hockey Centre) would like to thank you for visiting our site and for your interest in our company, our services or our vacancies. We believe it is important to protect your personal data during your visit to our site and during the possible resulting processing. Below we explain what information we collect when you use our site and how this information is processed.
Who are we
The Hockey Centre, sells hockey gear online and offline. Organizes club activities, club support and team building activities. The Hockey Centre is located at Palmpolstraat 7, 1327 CA in Almere, and registered with the Chamber of Commerce under number 66139384.
Privacy in general
The Hockey Centre will only process your personal data in accordance with the relevant privacy legislation (Telecommunication Act and the Personal Data Protection Act/GDPR). Your personal data will only be used as described in these terms and conditions. For the rest, we will only use your personal data with your permission. By using the site, you declare that you have read these privacy conditions and agree to be bound by them.
What (personal) data do we collect?
  • Visitors to our site
In general, our site can be visited without your personal data being passed on to us. Like many other sites, this website does automatically collect certain non-identifiable information about the users of the site. The Hockey Centre collects data about the users of the site, such as duration of the visit, domain, browser type, the pages you visit and your IP address. This technical information is used to manage the site and to improve the site and its use.
We cannot identify you with this data. Your IP address will only be traceable to the name of your access provider or your company network.
In addition, The Hockey Centre only collects personally identifiable information that has been explicitly and voluntarily provided by visitors. This information may include your name, e-mail address, telephone number and the name of the organisation for which you work. The Hockey Centre uses the personal data voluntarily provided by you, via the site or subsequently in a follow-up contact, to be able to communicate with you about the performance of our services and other activities and to be able to approach you for commercial purposes, newsletters and specific The Hockey Centre publications and events, all this only if you have registered for this (opt-in). The Hockey Centre processes the personal data of data subjects who work for companies with which we do business (1) to make offers for and/or provide information about the services and other activities and (2) to maintain a business relationship and (3) to conclude and maintain a contract.
We process, among other things, the following personal data of business relations: names, contact details and functions of contact persons.
The Hockey Centre may pass on the personal data obtained from its business relations to third parties if this is necessary to achieve the objectives of the business relationship or for the purpose of performing the services of The Hockey Centre for the benefit of the business relationship. This data may be passed on to other operating companies of The Hockey Centre, to applicants/candidates, business partners, contracting parties and subcontractors (e.g. data processors) who provide services on behalf of The Hockey Centre, and in all other cases in which The Hockey Centre may be obliged to do so, for example by a court order or court ruling. Personal data may not be passed on outside the Netherlands. The Hockey Centre has taken the necessary measures to ensure that all personal data passed on are adequately protected.
The retention periods used by The Hockey Centre depend on the applicable statutory retention periods. The data will be retained for a maximum of 2 years after the termination of the customer relationship.
  • Personal data of candidates/applicants
The processing of personal data in relation to an application/selection procedure is based on the legitimate interests of The Hockey Centre and the applicant. When you submit an application, you explicitly give permission for the processing of your data in the context of the recruitment and selection process, which permission can be withdrawn at any time.
Personal data sent via the application form on the site will only be used by The Hockey Centre for the purpose for which you submitted it: applying for a vacancy at The Hockey Centre. You are of course responsible for the accuracy and relevance of the data you provide. In the context of an application/selection procedure, we ask you for – among other things – the following (documents with) personal data:
  • When applying via email:
– Your first and last name, email address and telephone number.
– Your curriculum vitae (CV) and motivation.
  • During any subsequent application procedure:
– Information about training and education and/or tests that you have followed or taken
– Availability and leave information
– Other information that may be relevant in the context of assessing the candidate's suitability, such as references and certificates
– Passport photo on a voluntary basis
  • At the moment you can start working/are working/have worked at The Hockey Centre:
  • Nationality, BSN number, ID, work permit if applicable
  • Other data related to personnel, salary and absenteeism registration
  • In addition, we sometimes process data in the context of a pre-employment screening.
The Hockey Centre only records special personal data if this is necessary to comply with its legal obligations, to the extent that permission has been given for this, or if this is otherwise permitted by or pursuant to the law. 'Special personal data' refers to data about race, religion or belief, political opinion, health, sex life, trade union membership, criminal personal data and/or personal data about unlawful or disruptive behaviour. The Hockey Centre may pass on the personal data of a candidate/applicant to subcontractors (for example data processors) who provide services or carry out assignments on its behalf, suppliers and government agencies. And in all other cases in which we may be obliged to do so, for example by a court order or a court ruling. The provision of personal data takes place on the basis of a legitimate interest, legal obligation and/or for the execution of the agreement in accordance with the objectives already mentioned.
Your personal data cannot be transferred outside the Netherlands. And of course The Hockey Centre ensures that your personal data is adequately protected.
The retention periods we use depend on the applicable statutory retention periods.
By submitting the application form on our website, you give us permission to retain your personal data for up to one year after the end of the application procedure in case you are not hired, due to possible future vacancies.
If you have worked for The Hockey Centre, your mediation and work data (CV, work experience, education, test results, overviews of vacation days, certificates, administrative absence data, reports of performance and assessment interviews, etc.) will remain available in a protected environment for up to two years after the last contact. After that, they will be destroyed.
 
Cookies
In order to ensure that our site is properly managed and to facilitate improved navigation, The Hockey Centre may use cookies (small text files stored in the user's browser) to collect aggregated data.
We may use these tools to track information on our systems and to identify categories of users by things such as IP address, domain, browser type, and pages visited. This information is provided to our webmasters who use the information to analyze the number of visitors to the various parts of the site and to ensure that our site is serving as a useful and effective information source.
  • Enabling, disabling and deleting cookies

  • Google Analytics
The Hockey Centre uses Google Analytics to gain insight into visitor flows, traffic sources and page views on our site. This means that Google acts as a processor in the processing of personal data by The Hockey Centre. We have therefore concluded a processing agreement with Google.
Information collected with Google Analytics is anonymized as much as possible. For example, The Hockey Centre does not gain insight into which individual visitors make which visits to our website. Google will never process your full IP address and will always mask the last octet of your IP address.
Security
The Hockey Centre does everything it can to optimally protect your personal data against unlawful use. We do this by means of physical, administrative, organizational and technical measures. For example: only authorized employees have access to the data.
If and to the extent that data is provided to data processors who provide services or carry out assignments on behalf of The Hockey Centre, The Hockey Centre has agreed with them that they will also optimally secure the personal data. We guarantee that the data will not be used for purposes other than those for which you shared them with The Hockey Centre.
Your rights
You have the right to view, change or delete the personal data registered about you.
You can contact The Hockey Centre via the contact address below. If you believe that The Hockey Centre is acting in violation of the law and regulations with regard to your personal data, you have the right to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority.
Changes
The Hockey Centre may from time to time make changes, additions or amendments to its privacy statement for various reasons. The most current privacy statement can be viewed at all times on the website of The Hockey Centre. This version was drawn up in January 2024.
